Shoes I Use & Recommend

Here are the 6 shoes I wear and recommend to my clients.

White sneakers labeled LEMS, minimalist and vegan-friendly, priced at $130. White Sand color, highly rated, shown with size options.

Size: 12.5, Price: $130

These are a great shoe to start your barefoot journey as they're a normal-looking shoe with a wider toe box. They're comfortable with the right amount of cushion, and I can wear them for hours without discomfort. I don't recommend the light color because they get dirty easily and are difficult to keep clean.

Brown hiking boot with textured sole on left; product details on right: "Tracker Forest ESC Mens," $270, 5-star rating with 350 reviews.

Size: 13, Price: $270

If I could only choose one shoe this would be my choice because I can wear them in so many different situations. I can wear them as much as I want - even walking around the city for hours on concrete - without any discomfort. These are my rain boots, they're great in the cold, and they look normal enough. A wide toe box and just enough cushion makes them usable under any condition. They are expensive, but if you click this link and enter your email you'll get 20% off your order.

Black hiking shoe with hexagon logo and thick sole. Text: MAGNA LITE WR SG MENS, 4-star rating, $173.00. Description details features.

Size: 13, Price: $220

This was my first pairs of barefoot shoes and served me well for quite a while. I've since replaced them with a newer version, and I also....

The sole of the shoe is very similar to the Vivobarefoot trackers, and they're very comfortable. Don't pay full price for Vivobarefoot shoes because they offer a lot of discount codes and opportunities.

Black and white minimalist sneaker with a white sole. Product info: "Men's Strand Lightweight Trainer" priced at $140. Size options shown.

Size: 12, Price: $140

These are like normal sneakers but with individual toe spaces. If you look quickly, you might not notice, but the style is definitely not for everyone. If you have bunions, this is the shoe I recommend. These have plenty of cushion and they're very comfortable to wear all day. They're expensive, but they've held up well for me so far.

Black Vibram FiveFingers KSO EVO shoe on a product page. Price $109.95. Limited stock. Size options and delivery details displayed.

Size: 11.5-12, Price: $115

These are the ultimate barefoot shoes and I highly recommend a pair of Vibram's for how free they are. They look ridiculous, but I'd say it's worth it for the health benefits of strengthening your feet. I don't recommend these for long distance walks on concrete as the lack of cushion will be an issue.

Black handmade ankle boots on a white background. Sale details: $110.55, 45% off. Options for size and color selection.

Size: 12.5, Price: $110

This company is called FeelBarefoot on Etsy and they offer minimalist shoes with customization options. I love that they're made of natural materials, as the other shoes in my rotation are made from synthetic materials. I haven't worn them much, but the quality is good and I like how they look and feel. These are my formal shoes with a wide toe box.

Concluding Remarks

I recommend you get multiple pairs of shoes you enjoy and keep them in rotation so that you have variety in your footwear. If you're new to barefoot shoes, be careful not to do too much too soon as you can bruise or damage your feet. Start by being barefoot around the house as much as possible and consider getting a pair of wide shoes like the Lems or Vivobarefoots as your first pair.
